Salter No. 46 cast-iron household scale

Salter No. 46 cast-iron household scale.

British-made and dating approximately from the 1920s–1930s.

Fully operational Salter Household Scale No. 46. Tested using known 227 g and 454 g weights and correctly indicated approximately ½ lb and 1 lb respectively. Not professionally calibrated across its complete 28 lb range. Considerable surface corrosion and paint loss, but the mechanism operates smoothly and the original dial remains legible.
