J & J Siddons Ltd cast-iron balance scales, made in West Bromwich. The firm was Joseph and Jesse Siddons, an established iron foundry founded around 1818; “Siddons” and “J & J Siddons, West Bromwich” are documented company marks.

Late Victorian or early 20th-century cast-iron balance scales by J & J Siddons Ltd of West Bromwich, retaining their original decorative maker’s transfers and a cream-and-ochre glazed weighing pan.
